When Words Fail Music Speaks

As one spends some time going through our blogs, you will see that they may be done just a little bit differently than others. Or maybe we are just kidding ourselves that we are that special. Regardless of the reality, these blogs are a work of heart and from our perspective a work of heart is more than just words just like a church worship service is more than just a sermon or singing.

For the most part, I think that people would agree that music touches our lives in ways that mere words simply cannot do by themselves. For me personally, it is the lyrics that hold the greatest significance and I have always strived to understand what the lyrics are so I can understand the meaning. This is a lot easier in the days of Google searches, Youtube lyric videos, and many other ways that you can use the internet to quickly look up the lyrics to a song. Back in the 1900's when I was growing up, the way that one determined the lyrics was listening and re-listening to songs unless you were fortunate enough to buy an album that actually had the lyrics. But those were few and far between....back in the 1900's.

Like Moses, I am not eloquent with words and have a difficult time expressing through words what I am trying to convey. So, as you go through these blogs you will see that I include the lyrics to songs as well as links to the songs. These blogs are not only a form of communication for me, but also a form of worship. My hope for those that stumble across these or are otherwise pointed to them will take the time to experience the blogs thoroughly and when my words fail to convey what I am trying to express that the music will speak to your heart. The simple message and intent with everything that is shared here is that God Loves You, Jesus Died for You, and there is nothing you can do to change that. It's a fact whether you choose to believe it or not. I simply hope you will believe because this is More Than a Feeling.
